My wedding photography facts

How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer ?

The timing depends on your wedding size and needs, but I suggest booking as soon as you have a rough date and a venue. I give a lot of special care and attention to each of my couples, so I only take on a limited number of weddings each year, and my booking availability stays limited. I can always refer you to some of my talented friends if I can not make it on your day.

We are not used to being in front of the camera, how will this work on the wedding day?

Hey there! I just want you to know that I’m completely dedicated to making sure you feel relaxed and happy without any stress on your big day. Let’s chat about it during our meeting. My photography style is all about capturing natural, genuine moments without any forced poses or awkward reenactments. Most of the time, you won’t even notice I’m there!

What will we receive after our wedding day?

You will receive:

• A small preview of your photographs within two days of your wedding so you can relive those moments immediately!

• A month after your big day, you’ll receive a beautiful online gallery with all your photos in both high resolution (perfect for printing) and low resolution (web-ready for sharing). The gallery will have a mix of colour and black-and-white images, professionally edited and retouched by me.

• Depending on your package, a selection of fine art prints

Can you customise your packages to fit our unique wedding plans?

Absolutely! Your wedding should reflect you, and I’m more than happy to discuss your needs and create a package that fits perfectly.

Can you help us with light and timing suggestions?

Of course, it’s all part of our journey together. I will guide you and suggest the best time of the day for your ceremony and portrait sessions, ensuring the most natural and beautiful photographs are captured.

Our memories are precious, do you have systems in place to protect them?

Absolutely. Your memories mean the world to me, and I have systems in place to safeguard your photographs. I can walk you through those details during our first meeting.

We only have a short time for the portrait session, is that okay?

Whether we have a little time or a lot, I’ll make sure you have the best photo experience. My promise is to keep things easygoing and stress-free. Discussing the schedule prior to the day is part of my work and care for you.

Do we need to meet in person with you before the wedding to plan everything?

I really enjoy connecting with my couples and hearing all about your love story and wedding plans. However, I also know how busy life can get, especially when planning a wedding! We can absolutely chat over the phone, on Google Meet, or through email—whatever feels right for you. If you’d prefer, we can always meet up for a cup of coffee or a vino and talk about all the exciting details in person.

Do you charge for travel in victoria? 

Travel within Victoria is included in your package, although the specific distance covered varies with each package. We can discuss the travel details as part of your plan!

Can we get the raw files from the day?

I provide all your photos professionally edited in high-resolution JPEG format, which is perfect for printing. The raw files aren’t included because they need color correction and processing to bring out their best.

Do you need a photography capture list?

I am here to guide you every step of the way! Creating a photography shot list together can help make your day as stress-free as possible. Every wedding is unique, and I want to capture all the moments that are special to you. Let’s discuss if there are specific shots you have in mind or things you would prefer to focus on.

What is lifestyle photography?

Lifestyle photography is all about capturing the real, authentic moments of your day in a relaxed and natural way. Instead of posed or staged shots, I focus on those genuine interactions and spontaneous moments that truly reflect your story. My style is to document the love, the special people in your life, and all the joyful details in between—making sure your photos feel as real and vibrant as the day itself!

What about the light?

I absolutely love working with natural light, but I’m also prepared for any lighting situation that might come up ! If the weather isn’t perfect or the lighting isn’t quite right, don’t worry. I’ve got the skills and equipment to ensure your photos turn out stunningly. And if needed, using flash can add a  great fashion-forward vibe to your images! I’ll make the most of whatever lighting we have to capture your day beautifully.

Do you watermark your photographs?

No, never. Your photos are yours to cherish and share.

Do you offer Fine Art Prints ?

Absolutely! I offer gorgeous fine art prints in my packages, and they’re a wonderful way to showcase your special memories. I’d be thrilled to chat with you about adding these stunning keepsakes during our first meeting. Let’s explore the options and find the perfect way to bring your photos to life!

Do you travel, Australia/Overseas? What is the cost?

I prioritise capturing local and Victorian weddings as part of my eco-conscious approach. If I am in France at the time of your wedding, I would love to hear about it!

Do you photograph engagement parties?

Yes, we can discuss an engagement/wedding package or a one night only package. 

Do you need us to organise your dinner?

Yes, I require a meal to perform at my peak as your photographer.
